Sydney told me in the most genuine and believable way that everything was going to be okay. She then gave me the room to breathe, cry, and let everything out.
When our baby took a tumble, we were devastated and drove straight to the Emergency Room. Sydney made a point not only to see our daughter as the patient but also to have a supportive holistic approach and make sure mom and dad were taken care of. When we said the fall had happened right before dinner, she immediately ran out to bring food.

She was very honest and transparent with us about what was going on. She never spoke down to us, never invalidated a single feeling, and was a rock to us that night. Our little girl had a fractured skull and a broken femur. They wanted us to take a chopper, but due to the weather, they got an ambulance to drive the three-and-a-half hours to Boston Children's Hospital. Sydney was so sweet and even packed a small bag of snacks for my wife for the long drive.

After my wife and daughter left, I broke down and cried. Sydney told me in the most genuine and believable way that everything was going to be okay. She then gave me the room to breathe, cry, and let everything out. We are all home now, safe and healing. But through this whole ordeal, I remember Sydney's kindness more than anything.
