Morgan Sites cared for my stepson, who was emergently taken to the ER due to post-operative pain complications. Given the understanding of the situation, the atmosphere was quite tense, and Morgan recognized, responded, and intervened quickly to ensure the safety and care provided to my stepson was the priority. The level of compassion and empathy demonstrated by Morgan was beyond admirable. She routinely checked in on the family with thorough updates and took time to answer any and all questions. I have been a nurse here at Boone in Labor and Delivery for ten years, and the level of advocacy, competence, and self-awareness Morgan displays absolutely blows me away. Morgan knew that I was scheduled to work the following night, and she took time out of her shift to come check in on both my stepson, who was transferred to Orthopedics, and me while working on Labor and Delivery. This exemplifies nursing excellence, and she deserves praise and recognition. Morgan made a stressful and traumatic situation much more tolerable, which provided us with peace and comfort in knowing we were in the hands of the best nurse we could possibly be.
