I had an unplanned c-section at 34 weeks due to severe preeclampsia. After giving birth to my baby, she was sent to NICU, so her father had to accompany her. I had my mom with me at that time, who traveled internationally the day before my delivery. I wasn’t able to stand on my feet.

I was very fortunate to get Kristin as my first nurse on the first day of postpartum. She was so helpful not only to me but also to my mother, who is new to the USA. I don’t know how many times I called her to assist me with something or the other. I wanted to breastfeed my baby, so she and Styve used to give a wake-up alarm every two hours to make sure I pumped milk and made sure it reached my baby. They used to change my sanitary napkin and my urine bag every now and then. I understand it’s their job, but they never did these as “just a job,” but beyond something else.

These two used to cheer me up from my postpartum fatigue and encourage me to pump my breast milk by giving some tips. I am writing this 6 months after delivery. I still remember each and everything on the way that they treated me on those very first few days of my rebirth. They made me remember my best friends from my college days.

They made sure I took baby steps on the third day of c-section after that severe preeclampsia and, on top of it, 39 kg body weight, where I felt it was impossible for me to even stand on my own feet for at least 10-15 days. Kristi used to constantly check on me when she was not my nurse and was a floor supervisor for that night. Maybe the experience I had wouldn’t be surprising to everyone, but I genuinely feel what they did was beyond their job, which is why I’m still remembering those days, their smile, the way they treated me after five months of delivery and even now while I’m writing these.

Of course I’m not planning my second pregnancy any time soon, but when I do plan, I would definitely choose M Health Fairview Ridges because of them
