I wish to express my gratitude for this RN’s performance.  Note that I have worked in healthcare all of my life, including supervision, management, and as a patient advocate for a large metropolitan hospital. I have found that many people do what is expected and “enough,” but few extend the extra mile these days.  With added responsibilities and overloads of work, this is understood.  

But when you experience the compassion, attention, and skills of a nurse like this RN, you feel that your loved one is in excellent hands.  She calls the patient by their name, is able to answer questions, and provides correct information.  She doesn’t snap at you because she is busy.  Instead, she treats everyone like they matter and with respect.

This nurse made the patient feel very well cared for and stopped to answer all questions and assist with details that were concerning him.   She checked on his food intake and encouraged him to eat and drink.  Excellent bedside manner!
