Our 94 yr. old father suffered a hemorrhagic stroke and was admitted to the hospital. While in ICU, Evan cared for our father. Evan was so kind to our father. He noticed when dad was agitated or in pain and he quickly obtained and administered medication to help him. The stroke affected my father's ability to communicate; however, Evan consistently spoke to my father and told him everything he was doing for him. Evan was kind to our family. He actively and empathetically listened to our family. He knew that my sister and I were nurses, yet he continued to listen and answer our questions. Evan assisted with getting the neurologist to the bedside to discuss our father's scans, medical condition, and prognosis. We deeply appreciate the care and compassion shown to our father and our entire family.

When we lost our father, we felt compelled to say thank you to all the nurses and the physicians on the team in a very public way. In addition, we wanted to mention Evan specifically, as he cared for our father for the last two days until we transitioned to hospice. It is always a difficult situation to lose a parent, but it is much more difficult when they are facing a medical crisis. We can't thank the team or Evan enough for the care and compassion that he showed our father. Thank you, Evan, for demonstrating compassion and care during this difficult time.
