Holly is an extraordinary nurse. During those times of downtime, she goes above and beyond. Holly was the most reliable person during that challenging time. She makes sure that we are doing fine because she knows that we are stressed figuring out things. That first night that the system was down, she was the charge nurse for both units. I know how hard it was for her; I did not hear her complain. She did her job well.

Working alongside her, I saw her utmost dedication to this profession. As ACL, she makes sure the unit is well organized before the day shift comes. She kept all the beds from the hallway and put them in rooms that needed one. She did her audits on top of being charge for both units. She helped everyone with their admissions. She also helps every time we encounter difficulties, like talking to families and doctors. She sometimes takes six patients if she sees that everybody else is struggling with their patients. Holly is also a human being, so she may not be perfect in your eyes, but she has the heart of a true leader. She is the epitome of the saying “walk your talk”. It is time for her to be recognized.
