I cannot even begin to praise Melissa enough. Our stay in the hospital had already been taxing, but to be sent down to PICU sent me over the top. Our daughter had to be intubated and sedated and I was in complete shambles. Fortunately for me, we fell into Melissa’s care. She was so gentle and caring from the start. She walked me through every single thing she was doing to my daughter the entire night. She didn’t want me at any point in time to feel in the dark. Any questions I had, she answered and assisted in any way she knew how. She went above and beyond my expectations! She even took time to pray with me and pray over my daughter any chance she could. Her care didn’t stop in the PICU. We were eventually moved upstairs, and she took the time to find us to come check on my sweet girl to see her progress. She has definitely become family to us, and I know any child who has fallen into her care feels the same way. She is an exceptional nurse, and Memorial Hermann is blessed to have her!
