I would like to recognize the commitment and selfless dedication of Mrs. Karine Quintilliano. Mrs. Quintilliano, walking into the WBVAMC for her shift as ICU RN Staff, overheard the cry for help from a veteran trying to walk from the disabled veteran's parking into the ED for treatment. Mrs. Quintilliano assessed the patient as his complaint of extreme inguinal pain was pressing and overwhelming; Mrs. Quintilliano rushed to get a wheelchair to transport the patient to the ED for treatment. The patient was safely transported to the ED room, where Mrs. Quintilliano provided a report of initial complaints and interactions with the Veteran to the ED staff. I would like to recognize Mrs. Quintilliano for her dedication and assistance in expediting the assessment. Mrs. Quintilliano exemplifies our core values and upholds our commitment as an employee of the WBVAMC and the Veterans Health Administration. Her actions are a testament to the values we hold dear, and we are proud to have her as part of our team.
