I want to nominate Melanie for her absolutely professional, kind, and compassionate manner of handling my case. I am married to a nurse and know what it takes to be a great nurse, of which my wife is. Melanie exemplifies the type of person that is in the profession they were meant to do. I had a particularly sensitive wound in an area that would be embarassing to mention. I was very nervous about going in for treatment and embarrassed to admit what was wrong, but Melanie really helped settle my nerves and assured me that everything would be ok and that we would get through the treatment. She would listen to my nervous ramblings while she treated my wound and would even crack jokes as well. This small gesture was really nice to have and really helped settle my anxiety about my situation. After finishing treating the wound, she would go over what had changed for the good or bad and go over what we should do to treat the wound in the future.

Melanie has a vast knowledge of wound care techniques and strategies that helped my case immensely. I truly don't think I would have healed as quickly or completely if she wasn't there to help take care of my wound. She was also very inviting to my wife, who accompanied me several times to my appointments to discuss treatment options and to make sure my wife understood what the treatment was supposed to be doing.

Melanie was such a positive and encouraging person that I actually looked forward to my appointments with her. That kind of bedside manner is not taught in school or while on the floor as a nurse, that is a natural instinct she was born with. Thank you, Melanie, so very much from the bottom of my heart for making what I considered to be a very upsetting time in my life, an absolute breeze. I hope you continue being a nurse for as long as you are able. This job is exactly what you were meant to do!
