This guy, where do you begin with this guy? Mark Tiburg is a great nurse and he is on top of everything. He is funny and kind and seems to know what you’re thinking. I remember the first time I saw him the day I had surgery, and I woke up and there he was setting their report. The first thing I said was, "Are you a biker?" I don’t remember what he said, but I remember him laughing. 

He knows what he is doing, and he does it and gets it done. I remember him saying to me a little later, you’ve had surgery and I know what it’s like and I will be taking care of that pain for you - and he did. He did right after surgery and kept my pain level down well. That first night I couldn’t believe it because I thought that would have been the worst night, but no. I think he did a wonderful job and every night I was lucky enough to have him as a nurse. Wow, a blessing. 

We laughed and talked, and he would be like I got to go here or there. I’ll be back to check on you in a bit and sure enough it seemed like every time I would wake up, there he was. He is not only a great nurse, but he is the nurse! He keeps you on your toes. One night he was changing the dressing on my back and the student nurse was standing back. He was like, "Have you ever seen one of these?" She said, no. He said, "Well, come on in here," and he showed her all about it. He is a great guy!
