Tennehya is literally a lifesaver! She recognized that her patient needed help and reacted appropriately, calling for help immediately. This nurse was in the patient's room when the patient suddenly experienced weakness and facial drooping on one side. Tennehya immediately called the rapid nurse, who called the Code Stroke. The patient was in CT within 10 minutes of the onset of symptoms. Two large occlusions were found, and the patient was in interventional radiology soon thereafter. The patient was transferred to the ICU for continuous care. Tennehya exemplifies what every nurse should be. She remained calm under pressure, recognized she needed help with her patient and literally saved the patient from disability or death.
