When I arrived on the unit, she was the first nurse I met. She made me and my family feel welcome. She made us laugh, smile, and feel confident in her professionalism in a personal way. I was in a lot of pain, and she was there for me in an instant when I needed her and was always doing everything she could to help me get through the pain. She did not just make a difference in my care; she made a difference in my whole life in just a few days. I will never forget the bond we shared through those nights together for the rest of my life. She comforted me when I was upset, in pain, and shared stories that resonated with me. It is simply an understatement to say she is a great nurse. She is an incredible human being and deserves nothing less than a wonderful life.
