Alice is the best example of a nurse there is, and much more than that. She is a beautiful, fantastic human being. Her qualities are numerous. She is caring, encouraging, and really listens and hears. She is empathetic, sensational, and is above her job description. Always goes far above what she is required to perform. Alice does everything in a simple way- she is just a steady and calming influence. Alice knows how to draw people out. She is a great listener. She is dependable. If she says that she's going to do something, you know that it will happen. Alice is a real people person. We spent lots of time talking about our families, our children, etc., which helped get my mind off of other issues. We talked as if we had known each other for years. We were on the same wavelength. She infuses confidence in her patients and families. She infuses trust in her patients that she will help us and do the best for us. Even though I only met her a couple of days ago, it feels like we knew each other for years. You can put problems in her hands, and she will know how to help you with them. Alice will reach out to others whom she knows will be able to help out with situations and enlist their help, too. Alice does this all with a full heart. There is nothing in it for her except knowing that she is helping someone else. I am very grateful to have met Alice and to be able to "sing her praises," which are indeed many.
