Our 94-year-old mother was admitted to the Medical Surgical Unit after a traumatic fall which was leading to her death. Brent was our nurse during her stay at the hospital and helped us to ease her passing. On the first day, he asked us about her, who she was, and what her life had been like. We shared photos of her, and it brought smiles to all of us. No one wants to remember their mom as the tiny, helpless shell she was at the end. Brent gently reminded us about who she is, and that led us to share fond memories and lighten our emotional burden. We were also very impressed and appreciative of his skills and knowledge, and how well he worked with Dr. T., She obviously has great trust in him, too.
