I saw the true essence of what being a nurse should be—filled with passion and empathy. On my first day in this specific unit, she would update my wife by holding notes up to the window, offering her comfort during a very stressful time.
After my operation, I always felt safe in her care. She was my nurse during my recovery, and she consistently woke me up and reminded me of the things I needed to do for a quicker recovery. She was diligent in monitoring me, doing everything she could to make sure my breathing tube could be removed as soon as possible.

I saw the true essence of what being a nurse should be—filled with passion and empathy. On my first day in this specific unit, she would update my wife by holding notes up to the window, offering her comfort during a very stressful time. In the days that followed, she never forgot to encourage me, reminding me to do deep breathing exercises with the inhaling device and helping me when I struggled.

Even after I was transferred to another unit, she continued to be my nurse, orienting me on what to expect for my recovery. She told me to be patient because my progress would be gradual. I trusted her guidance so much that I requested her to continue as my nurse in the following days. One day, I got a bit too eager to go home and rushed while walking, causing my oxygen levels to drop. She was there immediately, assisting me back to my room and providing oxygen. Though I was disappointed, thinking I would have to extend my stay, I remembered her words about being patient and letting the healing process happen gradually. She reassured both me and my wife.

She also took the time to update my daughter, who is a nurse working abroad, offering her reassurance about my condition. Including my family in my recovery gave us all such peace of mind, and for that, I am deeply grateful. This nurse truly embodies what it means to be a great nurse.
