The day of post-surgery, I had extreme discomfort, and the nurse really explained to me additional instructions to get me to feel better I know that I had several (and sometimes repetitive) requests.
I have/had pretty high anxiety and discomfort following my surgical procedure; I saw and experienced Nurse Lindsey's practices and care for two shifts. The first was the date of my surgery, and the second was the next day after an awful night of no sleep due to the obvious tests that needed to be performed, in addition to electronic failures of my IV pump machine. The day of post-surgery, I had extreme discomfort, and the nurse really explained to me additional instructions to get me to feel better I know that I had several (and sometimes repetitive) requests. I had multiple questions on both days, which ordinarily would have been a bother to other nurses, but Nurse Wall really showed empathy and helped me through the different facets of post-surgery. She was unphased if I asked the same question or made the same request, but she was so attentive (no matter how many times I had asked for different things). Not only was she always physically present and available, such as when I requested multiple bladder scans within such a short period of time, but she also provided explanations and guidance for helping with the resolution of what I needed to do pre-scan. All of the different situations were very comforting and precise, with instructions and suggestions. She never disappeared or failed to check on me, especially when there was a request, and she really worked and cared to make sure that I was feeling better and would be released as scheduled and in a condition that was optimal for me to go home. I’ve experienced other nurses during my visit, but I will say that Nurse Wall went above and beyond caring for a patient in all different respects!
