Brianna went above and beyond. She stayed and cried with us, and from start to finish, I knew my mom was in great hands.
My mother was admitted to the MICW after being found down and experiencing cardiac arrest. The care team ran a series of tests, and we were told there was nothing else we could do, seeing as she had no brain activity. She was intubated and showed no signs of life. Brianna Novogrodski educated us on the extubating process and stayed present with my little sisters and me the entire time. I met Brianna on one of the worst days of my life. We had to make the unthinkable decision and stop all life-saving measures. From the moment Brianna presented herself in the room, she was the hope and warmth we all needed so very badly. She told us she experienced something similar to this situation, which made it all the more comforting. My family and I were educated on the entire process and what to expect. Brianna went above and beyond. She stayed and cried with us, and from start to finish, I knew my mom was in great hands. Brianna is an extraordinary nurse. I am actually in nursing school, and because of my interaction with her, I want to look towards ICU as my specialty. I hope to be even half the nurse she is one day. RIH is blessed to have you. I find comfort in knowing my mother was taken care of from the beginning of her admission to the unfortunate end. After we said our goodbyes, I asked Brianna for a hug. I hope she knows although we said goodbye to our mom that day, we were blessed to have two angels in that room.
Thank you, Brianna.
Thank you, Brianna.
