Sara immediately took charge, quickly assessing her condition and administering lifesaving treatment. She noticed the patient’s dangerously low blood sugar, gave medication, and prepared the family for the possibility of intubation.

The patient’s mother stated, “Sara demonstrated remarkable compassion and leadership throughout, keeping us informed and helping to navigate a confusing and overwhelming medical situation. She was honest, clear, and thorough, explaining everything and giving us the information needed to make informed decisions. Sara was always there to offer support, ensuring my daughter was as comfortable as possible. Sara was by our side, advocating for us and providing emotional support. She even took time on her days off to continue caring for her patient, showing an incredible level of dedication and compassion. On one occasion, she even arranged for an extra chair in our room to ensure we wouldn’t have to sleep on the floor”.
