When she came in to see me that morning, she recognized the pain & I felt like she saved me.
Mandy could tell that I was in extreme pain. She informed me she would do what she could to help me. That was after being up all night in pain. I felt like I was going crazy. When she came in to see me that morning, she recognized the pain & I felt like she saved me. She was able to get orders for pain meds, spent time with me & talked to me. It was such a relief after I had suffered through the night. The entire night had been horrible. Mandy was wonderful & I cannot thank her enough.
Mandy understood & could see that there was legitimate pain. I realize there are some who are med seekers, but some are not & should not be treated like they are.
I have had chronic pain since age 18 when a drunk driver hit me head-on & my back was broken. I have suffered for many years and became addicted to pain meds because of the pain, I went to rehab to get off the meds & had been off all narcotics for 5 years until I had to have this surgery. It takes more meds to get me comfortable because of my tolerance from previous use. Not everyone understands this, but they should.
I will be off the pain meds once I am healed, & hope & pray never to have to use again.
I just want Mandy to know what a blessing she was. She explained things, took the time to reposition me, calmed me & made me feel important.
