I had surgery for the first time ever and I was very nervous. I had many nurses come into my room who were all wonderful but the main one ended up getting called somewhere else so Crystal came to take over. She knew how nervous I was and let me tell you how much of a difference she made in my experience! She talked to me all the way up until I had to be taken back to the OR. Not only just doing what she had to but making conversation and keeping my mind engaged so that I wasn't as nervous.

When I came out of surgery and got back to my room, she was there again to take care of me and answer any questions that I had. She really was the sweetest nurse I have ever met. She even gave my daughter a card to get a smoothie at the cafe. It was out of her pocket, and she didn't have to do that, but it made my daughter's day.

When I got home, I saw that she left me a little note on my discharge paperwork wishing me well. Her kindness blew me and my family away. It meant so much; everyone was very nice, but I will never forget the kindness and compassion shown by Crystal. She was with me from beginning to end and was such a comfort; I can tell it comes naturally for her. The world needs more people like her.
