After several days and nights of staying with my Mom, who was under Hospice protocol, Sydney convinced me to go home at night to rest and take care of myself. She assured me she stay vigilant and take care of my Mom, calling me if any change happened. I arrived unbeknownst to Sydney the next morning at 5:45 am. When I walked into my Mom's room, I found Sydney working on her computer next to my Mom's bed, with her cell phone next to my Mom's playing Christian music. I was overwhelmed with gratitude for the kindness Sydney was showing my Mom. Her care of my Mom was far and above the normal expectations of a Nurse. My Mom passed later that day, and the rest I was able to have allowed me to be present with my Mom as she made her way to Heaven.
