I am nominating Camille for the exceptional care and professionalism she displayed during a particularly challenging situation with a new oncology diagnosis and their family. Navigating childhood cancer is never easy, but handling the emotions and concerns of families (including long distance on the phone) in distress requires an even deeper level of compassion and skill, and she did so with grace and patience. Her ability to communicate clearly, remain calm, and address the concerns of the family and patient was remarkable. It was evident that her focus never wavered from the well-being of the patient, even while managing the extreme emotional intensity of the situation. The empathy and understanding she demonstrated ensured that the patient received the best care possible in a difficult time. Camille's professionalism and dedication to her work stand out, and I want to commend her for maintaining such a high standard of care. She made a significant impact, and her efforts did not go unnoticed. Every single nurse on shift that day was truly in awe of your compassion and patience the entire 5 hours you calmly spent with this family. I can honestly say that had Camille not taken the lead on this patient care, the day would have been completely different due to her patience and empathy. Thank you for all you do.
