I felt that my own sister was there in the dialysis unit, so without any frustration, I could go to dialysis.
I have been a renal patient for the last seven years, and I was under proper medication and was doing regular follow up with my doctor. All of a sudden, my creatine level increased, and I was forced to insert a cath in my chest and do surgery for a fistula, and I became a dialysis patient. Even though I did all my surgery in my hometown, it is time to return to work. So, I returned to Saudi Arabia. I decided to continue my dialysis at Mohammed Dossary Hospital. I was a little nervous and tense when I reached the Dialysis unit. After my pre-dialysis check, I was asked to lie in my assigned bed. Seeing me nervous, Alia Yousif made a warm welcome by explaining the procedure, and she took care of me, cleaned my cath, and dressed my wound. Whenever she inserted the syringe into my fistula, she used to say sorry even though she was inserting the needle in a very soft way. Once, during my Dialysis, I felt like going to the washroom. Even though it was difficult to stop the dialysis process in between, she managed to pause the dialysis, and I could go to the washroom. During dialysis, when the food arrived, she opened the water bottle and food box for me, which helped me to take the food without any discomfort. One time, blood was not stopping, but she quickly took the proper medication and kept ice to clot. I felt that my own sister was there in the dialysis unit, so without any frustration, I could go to dialysis.
Thank you.
