She was so caring and attentive towards my mom, and I felt so comforted to know she had someone so calm and caring taking care of her.
My mom was admitted to med/surg and Rachel Rohrer was her nurse. She was so caring and attentive towards my mom, and I felt so comforted to know she had someone so calm and caring taking care of her. She was very busy but let my mom know she was her main Gal (concern). I knew as I went home that Rachel loved and cared for my mom.

I was recently hospitalized for a leg infection and Rachel went above and beyond for my care. I have never met a more polite and generous nurse. I felt like I was home and being cared for by my mom. She always smiled even after being so busy on her unit. We definitely need more nurses like her at Beacon.

Recently, Rachel took over the care of my team, I informed her about a difficult family who was disruptive. I did not feel that staying overnight was appropriate. She backed me up and said, “I trust my coworkers to make good choices, and I am going to stand behind your decision.” She later stood that ground when talking with the DR. She attempted to de-escalate and did so well with it. This patient ended up having a great stay and the family was so much better once boundaries were set. It takes a team to be on the same page. Rachel is so so smart and I love getting reports from her. She is an amazing nurse who I want on my team every day.
