My daughter is a 40-year-old disabled young lady born with a rare genetic disorder. She was life-flighted to CHI from Wayne, Nebraska. She has a 9 mm kidney stone. She has sepsis with a white count of 28. She needs total care. We met our guardian angel here at CHI; her name was Shane Pollard. She is an Excellent nurse. She is a true Florence Nightingale. She always explained everything she was doing and all of the tests and procedures my daughter had. Her soft voice and gentle touch comforted my daughter. This was our first stay at CHI, and we were very impressed with the nurses, housekeepers, respiratory therapists, and doctors. You are a great hospital because of the great staff. Shane made a bad day less stressful. If we put the call light on, she would come right in. We knew we were receiving the best care at the right place. Shane lives the Core Values of CHI every day.
