One of our terminal cancer patients requested that I recognize his RN, Kelsey Wilbert. We discussed using a legacy and ensuring he had a chance to tell people goodbye. He told me that Kelsey made his journey much easier and always made him feel loved. Kelsey has taken on many difficult patients and has walked hard journeys with adolescents. She advocates so well for these kids. She ensures they have a voice and makes sure it is heard. Kelsey went above and beyond with this kid. She made him feel safe throughout his journey. It is no surprise that any time we set up an appointment, he always wanted to make sure she was there. Kelsey brought hope, light, and love to a kid with a hard family life.
