I wanted to breastfeed my baby so badly and was having trouble with her latching. Heather Prue was encouraging and helpful and came back many times to ensure both baby and I were doing okay. She knows her stuff and explained many different feeding holds and when to pump. She was also very realistic about milk production, which I appreciated. Heather went above and beyond with her care. The morning after delivery, we noticed our baby had lost 1.5 pounds. She weighed 8.1 pounds at delivery, and her 24-hour weight was 6.7 pounds. I mentioned this to Heather, and she and my husband took the baby to the scale and looked at the post-birth picture to do a true birth weight, as it was not possible for her to lose 1.5 pounds overnight. We then made a plan to get her back to birth weight. With Heather's help and guidance, the most she lost was less than 4 ounces total, which everyone was happy about. Heather's care was extraordinary, and she showed she truly cared for the baby and my family. I cannot recommend Heather enough as an IBCLC and an experienced nurse.
