My husband had never been hospitalized before and was anxious and also experiencing some cognitive issues. Marcus had a very kind touch and was empathetic. He was able to do a procedure on my husband with expertise and ease. He used relaxation and breathing techniques on my husband to relax him and do without discomfort. He stayed after his shift to help us when he found out the same issue was happening again. This exemplifies the meaning of a caregiver. He made my husband and me feel cared for. His demeanor and nursing expert skills deserve to be noted. We feel he went above and beyond. (He could have just gone home). But he took his time, and you can tell how compassionate and caring of a nurse he is.

I am a retired nurse, so I wanted him to be recognized for being extraordinary in his field. As after 45 years, I can spot them. I can’t tell you how to see someone in a very busy nursing area to see someone who stands out with kindness. My husband and I were both so relieved when we saw him. He is an angel. We are so very grateful to have him care for my husband (the patient) and me, the wife also. He definitely has a healing touch. He is an example for all nurses. He reinforces patient and family care.
