Kathy Acosta, RN

Kathy went above and beyond in the care of an extreme preemie. She demonstrated compassion for the family – especially the mother, who had complications after delivery and was not able to see or hold her infant for several weeks. Kathy took the time to create a photo page of the infant and hand-delivered it to her. She also demonstrated extreme patience and understanding for the father, who was very anxious and scared and had a big load to carry for the mom’s recovery and the prognosis of their baby. Kathy’s exceptional care, love, and hard work are deserving of special recognition as she made a positive, lasting impact on their family.
