Cynthia Walker demonstrates the ideal combination of professional care, empathy, and concern for the patients receiving mental health care at the Franklin R. Sousley VAMC. She exudes an inner core of experience that leads me to believe she has a great deal of experience in this area. I believe she has appropriate amounts of empathy and sympathy and does not let it interfere with her professional judgment. Everyone I have encountered at the Mental Health clinic is good and professional. The difference between Miss Walker and most of the support staff is that she appears to have a more intensive core of experience in this area. She leaves veterans and their families aware of her care and concern for the veteran by treating the veteran with the respect, care, and dignity he or she deserves.
