There was a John Doe in the ED. Norbert spoke with EMS to try to pinpoint where the patient was from. Norbert was able to find two streets and a neighborhood just behind. They told everyone that if a nosy neighbor were to call saying they'd pick him up on this street, to take it seriously. So, a nosy neighbor called in and Norbert was able to get a family member's information. The family was called, and an explanation was provided that John Doe might be their father. Long story short, because of the investigation Norbert did, without giving out any information that would violate HIPAA, he was able to get a name for our John Doe.
