She is so personal and compassionate. She shows genuine concern for how I am doing and makes me feel so comfortable.
I have lived with MS since 1996 and have had many people care for me over the years. I recently changed my medication from a weekly at-home injection to a monthly visit to the infusion center at the MS clinic. Although not convenient, the nurses there make it a pleasant experience. One nurse in particular is my regular nurse. She comes to greet me in the waiting room and interacts with me as I get into my chair. She is so personal and compassionate. She shows genuine concern for how I am doing and makes me feel so comfortable. As she is taking my vitals, she will address any concerns I have. She is patient and kind with me and is sure to discuss anything I need to talk about with my care. Throughout my visits, we have gotten to talk about my family, job, and life experiences, and I know she is listening because she will bring up past discussions. I really feel like she cares for me by the way she remembers things. A while back, my cardiologist realized my BP would be high when checked by a machine and give a false reading, and I would get better readings if checked manually. She remembered and took it manually every time. I am sure she cares for many patients, but she makes me feel as if I am her only patient and assists with scheduling future appointments.
