When I needed to accompany my husband to an appointment without hesitation, she took me off the schedule, and she would say family is more important. She would text me to check on how we were doing during that time.
When my husband was diagnosed with Prostate Cancer, she was the first one I texted & asked her if she could recommend a urologist, and she replied right away. When I needed to accompany my husband to an appointment without hesitation, she took me off the schedule, and she would say family is more important. She would text me to check on how we were doing during that time.

If one of our staff has a special event like getting married or having a baby, she would remind us to celebrate, she would join us if she can, for any volunteer work of our unit, she would always be there then she would post our pictures to our team news & that helps with our team morale.

Most of the time I'm relief charge, one time we have an issue with short staffing with day shift & I texted her at 0330 she replied right away & gave me ideas on how day shift will handle the situation. I don't feel that she was irritated at all. In fact, I have never seen her being angry.

Sherri is always visible on the floor, we would see her answering call lights, rounding in patients and asking how they are on a personal level, and addressing concerns of staff from housekeeping to physicians… there’s no limit when the concern is related to the oncology unit!
