I was admitted to Baptist Conway by my physician due to abdominal pains. Shelby was my day shift nurse for four straight days. Shelby was always so nice, upbeat, and attentive. Shelby listened to me when I was attempting to explain how sick I was feeling; she helped me get adjusted when I was uncomfortable, assisted me with getting to and from the bathroom and just outright showed compassion. During my stay I had to have an NG tube inserted. I was so scared and so sick. I resisted having this done and by default I asked could I pray first before they inserted it. Without hesitation Shelby jumped in, grabbed my hand and led us all in prayer. She did not have to do that but I am so thankful that God led her to care for me during this time. I was blessed to have her again as my nurse on my day of discharge. People will forget what you said to them, but they will not forget how you make them feel. Shelby made me feel seen and cared for, and I will never forget that.

Shelby was amazing! I suffer from extreme social anxiety and was suffering from an allergic reaction for days. I had difficulty breathing when the reaction got bad. Which happened several times, and this escalated my anxiety. She was always quick to respond to the call light, any questions I had, or when I needed anything. Shelby showed so much compassion, understanding and patience with me. She made my stay so much better. God truly has blessed Baptist Health with an exceptional nurse. I can not thank her enough for all she did.
