I entered the hospital, reluctant and anxious about my surgery. The attention to Nurse Kevin made my stay and recovery much easier. The evening I was admitted, Kevin stayed late and came to my room to be sure I received supper. He ordered me a tray, inspected it to be sure it was the correct food for me, and even cut it up.

The next morning, when I returned from surgery, Kevin was waiting with my wife in my room. Kevin was never in a rush, always having plenty of time to listen to my every need. He never waited to be asked for assistance but seemed to appear the moment before he was needed. Kevin never gave the impression that he was doing a job; instead, he made me feel like I was a family loved one.

Not only did Kevin tend to my needs, his comforting extended over to my wife, ensuring her I was going to be okay and relieving her fears. When I was discharged, Kevin personally wheeled me out and guided my wife, making sure she knew the best place to move our car. I have no doubt that every patient under Kevin's care feels the same way. His attitude and professionalism should be the goal of all nurses.
