My story started at a hospital in Racine. Having hit rock bottom (Hard) From using street fentanyl very heavily for years I finally came to believe I'd either die or recover. I was so close to taking my life. They took me in and helped with the pain of withdrawl. But that's all they said they could do. I know if I was sent home there was a chance I probably take my life if I couldn't get help. Nurse L comes in even though the Dex at St.Francis isn't a special unit for what I'm going through. Nurse L took me in and saved my life!! Hard to write while crying, but I'll try. Nurse L was by far the most understanding person, let alone a nurse I've ever met. I could feel how much Nurse L cared and would do anything in her power to help. I will always remember her for the rest of my life. I love you, Nurse L.
