Here is this amazing young lady caring so much. It truly made me feel like a family member and not just a patient. Those are qualities not taught but are just within their core.
I don't even know where to begin. Eman, from the first moment she introduced herself as my nurse, her overall care was amazing. She took the time to ask how I was feeling and wanted to know my concerns. Yes, I know that is part of her job, but her compassion was so much more than just asking. Her ability to take my worries and validate them, but her ability to bring a sense of "it's okay, let's look at the positives, focus on the little wind" brought a calming reassurance. A funny story...when I decided I wanted coffee, Eman said she would make a fresh pot and bring me a cup. I normally use creamer, but being on clear fluids, I could only have sugar. I was so not looking forward to that, but coffee was coffee after so many days without it. She came back with coffee and 3 packs of sugar, and it was AMAZING! As she was leaving my room, I asked what kind of magic or pixie dust she used to make the coffee. She smiled and said, "It was made with love." I know it sounds corny, but at that moment, with just the simple fact of being in the hospital, my family had to work, so I was alone. Here is this amazing young lady caring so much. It truly made me feel like a family member and not just a patient. Those are qualities not taught but are just within their core. Knowing she was going to be my nurse every day, I knew my care would be over the top. Thank you, Eman, for your beautiful heart, kind soul, and loving compassion. You have made such a huge impact on my life that I will forever remember you. And I write this with LOVE.
