This nurse is always helping educate patients and families. For over 30 years, she has served as a pediatric nurse and, during this time, has taken care of many lives. She is knowledgeable and honest; you can always count on her to tell you the real situation. She handles patients with care and compassion. She has held crying mothers and the hands of children as they passed. She also holds new nurses and makes sure they know how to be a nurse. She teaches them patient care and how to give spa baths. If you walk down the halls of the PICU and smell minty goodness, you can be assured that this nurse is giving a world-class spa bath nearby. She often serves in the role of rapid response and makes sure that each and every floor nurse feels comfortable. She puts the patient first, and when she calls the charge to say a kiddo looks bad, you know it's urgent! Many nurses go their entire career and aspire to be the type of nurse she is because she makes it look easy. She loves big and is an outstanding nurse who deserves to be recognized!!!!!
