I am writing to share our heartfelt story and to nominate this nurse for the DAISY Award.  My husband recently suffered a heart attack, and during the time he was under this RN’s exceptional care, we couldn’t have asked for better patient care.  

From the moment we met this nurse, I felt a sense of relief wash over me. She greeted us with a warm smile and took the time to introduce herself, making us feel welcomed and valued.  During the chaos and fear that surrounded my husband’s condition, her calm demeanor brought us comfort.  She had a unique ability to explain complex medical information in a way that was easy for my husband to understand, which eased our worries and helped us feel more in control.

What truly set apart this RN was her genuine compassion.  She spent time getting to know my husband, not just as a patient, but as a person.  She listened intently to his concerns and fears, offering reassurance that he wasn’t alone in this fight.  I will never forget how she took the time to listen to him and take action on anything that he needed.  She always was cheerful and always smiling, cracking appropriate jokes and making him feel like he was her “only” patient.  In those moments, it was clear that she cared deeply about his emotional well-being, not just his physical health.  

This nurse went above and beyond in her role as a nurse.  She coordinated care with the doctors, ensuring that my husband received the best possible treatment.  She advocated for his needs and made sure he was comfortable, always checking in to see how he was feeling.  It was her unwavering support and positive attitude that helped us navigate this challenging experience.  

This RN’s dedication to her patients is truly inspiring.  She doesn’t just do her job; she pours her heart into it.  She made an indelible mark on our lives during a difficult time, and we are forever grateful for the care and compassion she provided.  

I wholeheartedly believe that this nurse deserves to be recognized with the DAISY Award.  She embodies the qualities of a truly exceptional nurse and has made a lasting impact on our journey to recovery.
