Shelby had a patient who wanted to leave AMA because his truck was in a parking lot, not on the SCH campus. This was not only the patient’s transportation but his home. He was very concerned something would happen to his truck and wanted to leave AMA. The patient was not stable enough to get discharged, and by leaving AMA, he would put himself at risk. Shelby took the time to work up the chain of command to find a way to get his truck to SCH. Shelby, with the help of her manager, was able to get the patient’s truck towed to SCH that day! On top of that, she even went out to the patient's truck and searched for his phone for him. The patient was so thankful for her efforts that he started to cry. This is one of the many ways Shelby will go above and beyond for her patients!
