When my dad first arrived at the VA hospital, we were all frazzled from driving straight here with him and after taking him out of another hospital AMA. Once my dad was admitted, Drew sprang into action, helping our family and my dad adjust to the change. He listened to my dad and his wants, first and foremost. My dad is deaf and reads lips. Drew got a clear mask to help with/accommodate his needs. I know this sounds simple, but in an age of mask wearing, it is huge! People have truly forgotten about the deaf community. He is also so good at listening to my dad and listening/communicating with us. Another thing that we are super grateful for is that he could tell his hearing aids needed to be cleaned. He got my dads hearing aids down to audiology and he felt so refreshed once they came back! All of these things should be a normal part of the process, but our experience tells us different. Drew is top-notch.
