Nichole Umland is truly a great example of what it means to take care of others. She not only works hard every day at home with her four children, but she comes to school with a great attitude and a willingness to help everyone around her. Whenever someone in our cohort is sick, she is always the first one to check up on us. She encourages us every day and truly wants every one of us to succeed. I remember watching her when we were doing labor and delivery clinicals. She communicated with the mother and cared for her effortlessly. She has a special thing about her that makes people feel cared for and understood. I know that she will make an amazing nurse. I can confidently say that I would trust her with my life. She’s a bright light, and I’m thankful to get to see her every day.
