Having a loved one in the ICU is very stressful, especially when they are in there for a prolonged time. My mother was in the ICU for 5 weeks before she passed. The ICU nursing staff at Tanner in Carrollton was exceptional. All nurses and techs were very caring and professional and provided excellent care for my mother. They even made us, the family, feel more comfortable. Phil stood out to me because he always went over and above to make sure she was treated with the utmost respect and dignity, even when she became unresponsive. He always told her and the family and friends that were in the room with her exactly what he was doing (meds administering, cleaning her, tests, labs, etc.), no matter how big or small the task was. He was always professional and gentle and had such a calming presence about him. We, as a family, want to thank him for all he does for his patients. He is making a difference and should be awarded for his exceptional care!!!
