When my father-in-law was recently in the ICU, we had the pleasure of meeting Brittany. Our first day there, Brittany and another nurse brought my father-in-law a blanket and a stuffed monkey for his 88th birthday. It was a nice surprise. As the night went on, my father-in-law’s condition worsened. Brittany was extremely compassionate to our family, explaining everything that was happening. We didn’t want my father-in-law to pass on his birthday. She guided my family through the process and helped us decide to wait until the next day to let him go. As we all said our goodbyes, Brittany stayed close to support us. She even brought tea, coffee and snacks into the room for us. Brittany deserves a medal for her truly caring heart during this sad time. Brittany, you are our hero! May you continue to be blessed.
