Jennifer Whalen is the clinical educator for my unit and is constantly supporting us. She is always available for questions or advice, day or night. She is very passionate about ADVANCE and goes out of her way to coach us through the process and encourage all the nurses to get certified and climb the clinical ladder. She also helps support our Professional Development Committee and makes annual competency sign-offs so much less stressful. She shows up to codes and rapids when she is in the hospital and keeps the team up to date on training.

Did I mention that she presented at a National Conference?! Jen will always jump in with any nursing task, be it medicating patients, cleaning patients, getting patients up to the bathroom, or back to bed. She makes an effort to check in with the night shift, which is something I appreciate because we don’t always get to see the admin people. In short, Jen is great, and I really just want to recognize her and let her know she is amazing and that we are so lucky to have her in our unit.
