No parent is ever prepared for their baby to go to the NICU. We were so overwhelmed, to say the least! We received a lot of information all at once, and honestly, we didn't understand much of it. On the second day of our son's stay, we met Lynnita. From the get-go, she and I hit it off. She had a warm, friendly personality. Once she realized there was so much we were confused about, she took the time to sit down with us and explain every detail of our son's care. She constantly ensured we understood every aspect of his care. She went out of her way to teach us various techniques to improve our son's care and health. Many times, Lynnita just sat and listened to me as I cried or vented my frustration about being scared and angry that our son came early and had to be in the NICU. On the days she wasn't assigned to his room, she would still come by to check on me, my family, and of course, my son. I can't thank Lynnita enough for being my light during such a trying time in my life. Everyone we met during our NICU stay was great, but Lynnita was truly amazing to us.
