I was a patient at OakLeaf Surgical Hospital. Needless to say, it was not a good day for me. I was super frustrated from having been in a hospital for four days and from not being updated on my health/care. I was angry and not very nice to the nurses who were caring for me. Later that same night, a nurse came in to check and do my meds, and all I can say is nurses do come with angel wings. She showed me compassion and understanding. She wasn't judgmental. She was just all around amazing. She came in and we talked. She did her job and then some. She talked and she listened to me, which was what I think I really needed. She wasn't in a rush to be on her way. She took her time to make me feel like I mattered. This is what a nurse is and should be. I just want to say thank you, Jenny, you are an angel.
