After 7 long hours waiting for my daughter to get out of surgery, I was anxious about how things would go that night. The minute we entered the roo,m Bella was attentive and so helpful all night.

We ended up being able to have her as our night nurse every night we stayed in the PICU. Nurses and people like Bella remind us that there are good people in this world. She treated my daughter with amazing care, compassion, patience, and empathy. She exemplifies what it is to be not only a good nurse but a good-hearted person.

The night Autumn got her first shower, she made her feel so special. She helped comb and shampoo her hair one strand at a time and understood the sensitivity of the situation. This was a hard thing for a family but specifically Autumn to go through. Autumn is a shy person, but Bella's care and patience allowed her to open up and feel comfortable while she was here. I have 3 children, 2 daughters, whom I try to raise to be right and caring individuals. If my daughters have the empathy and light in their hearts that Bella displayed, I would be one happy mother. She is a great example for young women. The world needs more people like her.
