Cassandra “Cassie” Annis, LPN, is an outstanding nurse. Cassie always advocates for patients and ensures that their needs are met. She also has a way of encouraging patients to take their medications and perform to the best of their abilities. She provides hope and educates patients as needed, and is also an excellent and reliable team player. Due to her more than a decade of experience as a nurse, she is also very knowledgeable about the hospital's policies and procedures. She always goes above and beyond what’s expected of her in a good way. She gave an effective Heimlich maneuver to a choking patient sometime last year. As soon as she saw the patient holding his throat with both hands, she did not hesitate to respond and gave him abdominal thrusts. That saved that man's life! She is an active member of the Ambulation Committee and has achieved perfect medication pass audits for the last two quarters. Cassie is also working towards her RN.
