I trust Allison to be the nurse for my mom and for everyone’s mom because she treats your mom as if she were her own.
My mom has been in the hospital since Christmas Day and has been bedbound due to cancer spreading to her brain. Allison has gone above and beyond to provide quality care for her. Allison consistently ensures my mom is safe and prevents injuries by turning her to avoid bed sores, all while making sure she remains comfortable. One day, a provider mistakenly told my mom she didn’t need her oxygen, and when Allison rounded on her, she noticed that my mom didn’t look well. After taking my mom's vitals, she saw that her oxygen was at 72! Allison worked quickly to get my mom back on oxygen, educated me about the signs to look for if my mom’s oxygen was low, and explained how to get help. I could see she shed a quiet tear while working to help my mom, and that’s when I knew Allison cared about my mom's safety and health. She treats my mom like a loved one despite the around-the-clock care required. Allison goes above and beyond by checking on my mom, helping her adjust in bed to prevent her oxygen levels from dropping, and cleaning her as soon as she becomes dirty, all while also taking care of her other patients. I trust Allison to be the nurse for my mom and for everyone’s mom because she treats your mom as if she were her own. She is an exceptional nurse due to her compassion, patience, and attentiveness. The world is a better place with Allison in it, and our experience on this inpatient unit wouldn’t have been the same without her. My mom looked forward to the evenings to see Allison come on the night shift.
